The Middlesex History

The Middlesex journey began in the late 19th century, with the founding of eight independent colleges and training institutions in London. Five of these institutions came together in 1973 to form Middlesex Polytechnic, with others joining in later years to create the progressive and inclusive university that we are today.

About Mauritius

Mauritius, known officially as the Republic of Mauritius, is an island located off the southeast coast of the African continent in the Indian Ocean. It is a volcanic island of lagoons and palm-fringed beaches with coral reefs surrounding most of the coastline.

Our Campus

The Mauritius Campus is located at Flic-en-Flac. We have a strong existing presence in Mauritius and offer a bespoke teaching environment. All our buildings are named after buildings on our London Campus or former Middlesex Campuses, thus continuing the theme of connectivity between the campus and London and the concept of “one Middlesex”.
