      • Student Advisor

        Reference: FT-SA
        Type: Full Time Position

        The post holder will work as part of the Academic Registry team, providing general office support and guidance to students, in line with the Middlesex University strategy to enhance the student experience.

        Education/Qualifications:

        • Educated to degree level or equivalent work experience
        • Previous experience, working in HE, in relevant field

        Skills/Knowledge:

        • Enthusiasm and excellent interpersonal skills
        • Sensitive to cultural nuances and the ability to be both assertive and diplomatic
        • Solid understanding of the needs of all students
        • Ability to deal with complex queries and work under pressure
        • Ability to interact effectively and persuasively across the Campus
        • Ability to organise and prioritise work demands to meet deadline

      • IT Support Assistant

        Reference: ITS
        Type: Full Time Position

        The post holder will provide end-user support, routine maintenance, and infrastructure support for the campus and will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of computers, laptops, multifunctional printers and audio visual systems.

        Education/Qualifications:

        • An undergraduate degree in an IT or Computer Science related fields

        Skills:

        • Must have good organizational skills, problem solving skills and prioritise work demands to meet deadline.
        • Ability to work with minimum of supervision and to work proactively
        • Ability to multi-task and work well within a team
        • A good command of written and spoken English,
        • Be calm and effective in dealing with staff and students
        • Keen to learn new technologies

        Knowledge:

        • Good knowledge of Windows OS
        • Sound experience in troubleshooting IT and Network related issues
        • Sound experience working with Telephony and Audio-Visual equipment

      • Maintenance Technician

        Reference: FT–MT
        Type: Full Time Position

        The post holder will provide technical support to enable the Facilities department to function effectively and efficiently.

        Requirements and skills:

        • Proven experience as maintenance technician
        • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing and other systems
        • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
        • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
        • Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
        • Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked
        • Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
        • Certificate in HVAC or electrical or plumbing or building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus
        • Interpersonal skills to interact with employees and contractors in a pleasant manner
        • Must be able to communicate in English

      • Admissions Assistant / Officer

        Reference: AAO
        Type: Temporary Position

        The post holder will play an important role in the operational aspects of student recruitment and admissions processes at Middlesex University Mauritius.

        Qualifications and Experience:

        • Bachelor's degree and relevant work experience or equivalent combination of qualifications and relevant work experience.
        • Experience in a busy customer service environment.
        • Excellent computing skills and experience of working with MS Office and database applications.
        • Demonstrated evidence / potential of being able to persuade customers as well as motivate subordinates.
        • Familiarity with the structure of the British education system and preferably, other regional competitive education systems.

        Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:

        • Excellent communication skills.
        • Excellent interpersonal skills and supervisory skills.
        • Experience in managing critical information systems including the use of email, word processing and spreadsheet programs with the ability to adapt quickly to new software.
        • Strong track record in leading customer service teams and in enhancing customer experience.
